The video came about serendipitously after learning about a roofing job on a beautiful home in Minnetonka, and thought we would capture a great opportunity for us to showcase our product in a video. It will be posted here on our website, on YouTube and an upcoming TV show called, “Today’s Builder.”

 

Ryan Corcoran of Modern Image Film and Video Productions filmed and edited the video. We held a casting call to find the right talent to be our on-camera spokesperson. David Mann had the most experience and the strongest delivery, so we chose him. He had a “real person” approachability, and we wanted the video to feel like a “home show” you might see on HGTV.

 

The product put on the home was TerraTone enhanced steel slate roofing. We were able to get some great shots of the installers putting the product on, and really focused on the idea that this is a, “Forever Roof,” comparing it to other materials that can wear out over time.

 

The main message of the video was that steel lasts forever, and the homeowner will never have to re-roof again with an EDCO roof. We had to wait for the weather to cooperate and get everyone’s schedule to mesh. Finally, the video was shot in Minnetonka on October 24, 2011. David Mann, a local actor.

 

This video is the first in a series. The next video we shoot will be an overall company video, touching on our capabilities and facility. Following that will be siding.

 

The TV show that will be airing next spring called, “Today’s Builder,” is an 8 week series featuring Shraeder Brothers Builders, a local company. It’s a home show that runs in specific, segmented markets around the country. It will air on Fox channel 9 on Saturday mornings for 8 consecutive weeks (different episode every week) from 9-9:30AM. We will have a minute and a half version of our video running as advertising each week. This show runs concurrently with the Parade of Homes, and leading up to the Home & Garden Show in March and April. Some of the advertisers on the show are: DEREK HEATING & AC, ANDERSON WINDOWS, SCANDIA KITCHEN, SHORE STEWART BUILDERS, ORION HOMEENTERTAINMENT, HEDBERG, MASTER PRO DRYWALL, OHARA INTERIOR DESIGN, PRO-BUILDER and AFFINITY FLOOR. This is a great opportunity for us to be on TV.
